What’s been happening:

Life after the conclusion if the Earth Science AYI (67-68) has included a three year stint teaching high school earth science, a year as science coordinator for a grade 5-8 middle school and, from 1971 through my 1999 retirement, teaching in the department of Earth and Space Sciences at Suffolk County Community College. My initial assignments were mostly in Climatology and Meteorology and later transitioned to Astronomy. Since retirement I have been teaching one course a semester in Astronomy on the SCCC Eastern Campus in Riverhead. Outside of academia, I still do a good deal of sailing and have become heavily involved in a local wooden boat building school, Carmans River Maritime Center. Any of you surviving 67-68 AYI Earth Science folks, drop an email and let's swap old E. Willard Miller, Pierce Lewis and Hans Panofsky stories!
